A stroll in Florence

This is an introductory tour that will give you a lasting first impression of Florence’s history and architecture. You will get to know both the key sights and the great figures that made this a world-renowned city. A walk in the heart of the town is a great way to start your Florentine experience as you will receive many further suggestions on how best to plan your stay and obtain the most out of what the city has to offer.

From Piazza della Repubblica we will head to the river Arno, to step on the Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, embellished by the Vasari Corridor. Crossing Piazzale degli Uffizi we will stroll towards Palazzo Vecchio. Before becoming the residence of the famous Medici Family in the XVI century the palace witnessed some fierce power struggles. This impressive building overlooks Piazza della Signoria, a shrine of Renaissance sculpture. We will end the tour in Piazza del Duomo, dominated by the imposing facade of Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, facing the “Gates of Paradise” of the ancient Baptistery.
